Wastewater Engineer

Job description

The Pollution and Flooding Reduction team at WRc is uniquely placed to provide solutions for asset owners that tackle the big challenges of managing sewer networks: moving towards zero pollution and zero sewer flooding.

The team provide solutions by focussing on improved use of data, smart technology adoption, and engineering knowledge, to provide companies with a more proactive, targeted and therefore a more efficient approach to sewerage management. This involves having a clear understanding of how and why sewers fail, what can be learnt from failures, and how that learning can be applied to prevent failure from occurring again in the future.

WRc develop intelligent solutions to network issues, by determining the factors that influence failure and using all available data to better understand the patterns of these failures across a network.  We then maximise this information to drive improvements in operational practice or target smart technology in a cost-effective manner that provides greater visibility of network performance.
